Spring with success

How to set goals but also achieve them

Hello Enthusiastic of Knowledge!

Early days of spring!

I don't know about you, but here the first warmth is starting to be felt, the days are getting longer...

And there's an energy of renewal in the air that always makes me want to do some GOAL SETTING!

Setting goals provides you with a clear direction and a sense of purpose, boosting your motivation and confidence, as it gives you a framework to measure your progress and celebrate successes along the way.

And with the arrival of spring, revisiting our winter journey and renewing our goals is a breath of fresh air!

AND READ UNTIL THE END because I HAVE SOME SPRING SURPRISE FOR YOU!!

However, goal setting alone is unfortunately not enough to achieve our objectives. Without a clear plan to reach them, they remain nothing more than ink on paper.

How many times have you set goals that you then didn't achieve?

It happens to everyone...!

But here's a great strategy for you to ensure success and "rebirth" as a new student this season.

Goal Setting… and achieving!

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of attending a course by Anthony Robbins- the famous life coach-where I learned his strategy for setting our goals and closing the gap between where we are now and where we want to be.

The beauty of this strategy lies in its comprehensive approach, not only in setting the goal but also in mapping out the entire path to achieve it, considering both the mental aspects and practical actions.

So, to kickstart this spring with a solid plan towards success, here are the steps to follow:

Seven steps in every journey to success 👇

1-What do you really want? Activate and awaken your hunger

Start by understanding what you truly desire.

Develop a clear vision and purpose behind your goals. Understand WHY you want what you want. Don't worry about the "how" at the beginning; it will reveal itself as you progress.

  1. For your study goals, ask yourself:

    • What type of student do you aspire to be?

    • What academic achievements do you aim for?

    • What energy do you want to bring to your studies daily? How do you handle obstacles and feedback?

    • Which qualities of your inner self do you wish to awaken?

    • What motivates you, and how will you combat procrastination?

    .

Paint a detailed picture of your desired student persona and future life. The more vividly you can visualize it, the stronger your emotional connection and the easier it becomes to achieve.

Revisit this vision daily, reinforcing your WHY and keeping it at the forefront of your mind.

2-Find and Face the truth: the truth will set you free

Acknowledge where you currently stand versus where you aspire to be.

Reflect on past barriers hindering your progress: fear, beliefs, emotions, habits, or skill gaps - 80% of the journey is psychological.

Identify and articulate your limiting beliefs and habits obstructing academic success and envision the contrast between your current habits and those necessary to fulfil your vision.

3-Resolve and create a M.A.P (massive action plan)

Begin by identifying immediate steps to propel yourself towards your desired goals. Initiate action promptly to align with your aspirations, understanding that mistakes are part of the learning process, and inaction is the true error.

Determine what adjustments you'll implement in your study routine, introducing techniques gradually and experimenting with what works best for you.

4- Do what’s hard: slay your dragons

Change what needs to be changed, get the skills that are necessary and take massive action!

Whatever they may be—procrastination, lack of concentration, or limiting beliefs. After this, the whole journey will be downhill.

5-Develop a daily practice

Small daily actions guarantee long-term success. What new habit or practice will continue to move you forward?

Create a new study routine that allows you to move towards your academic goal and the goal of the student you want to become.

6-Raise your standard and measure more often

You can’t manage what you don’t measure. Create measurable goals for your journey. For example, a measurable action could be: How many hours can you concentrate on studying (how many study sessions can you do in a row)

7-life is a gift: celebrate, appreciate, and give back

You only build on success. Learn from each stage and be sure to celebrate the victories as you achieve them. The process starts again… What do you want at the next level?

This last step of your process represents nothing but the beginning of a new one. A new level of you.
